About the Artist
Cat Janky is an artist and designer based in Chicago, IL. Her work ranges from representational to abstract, often exploring themes of womanhood and memory. She received her MFA in Studio Art from SUNY Purchase College in 2019.
Her practice includes painting, drawing, and animation. She draws inspiration from domestic spaces, the work of women artists—both historical and contemporary—and personal experience. Through these influences, her work investigates the emotional and psychological layers of everyday life, often blurring the line between observation and reflection.
